Chess is a quiet game, but there is absolutely nothing quiet about what goes on inside someone’s head while playing it.
A Game of Minds is an original acrylic painting inspired by the classic chessboard, but interpreted in a more expressive, contemporary way. Rather than painting the game exactly as it appears on the board, I wanted to play with shape, colour, contrast and texture — turning something familiar into something a little more unexpected.
The composition is built with bold acrylic layers and abstract elements, creating movement across the surface. The strong contrasts give the painting a slightly dramatic feel, while the textured marks keep it from feeling too neat or predictable.
Because apparently chess needed a little more chaos.
The title, A Game of Minds, comes from what I find most interesting about chess: the pieces may be sitting perfectly still, but the real game is happening in the minds of the people playing.

The Finish

Your painting will be carefully packaged and dispatched within 1–2 business days.

Items will be shipped in 1-3 working days after receiving your order. All products are shipped from Co.Wicklow Ireland. Expected shipping time:
2-5 business days for domestic orders.
1 – 2 weeks for international orders.
All orders shipped via ‘AnPost’. I will endeavor to get your package to you as soon as possible.

Every order is handled with care and I want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase.  If, for any reason, you are not, I offer a full refund (minus shipping and return shipping) within 7 days of receiving the artwork.  You must return the piece in the same condition in which it was received. This policy does not apply to custom and bespoke orders.
