At the Crafting Farmer our pieces are handmade at our farm in beautiful West Wicklow.

In a world with such need for a more eco-conscious way of living, our pieces are created to be sustainable, cherished and handed down instead of continuing to add to the throwaway culture.

The reusable eco beauty collection is crocheted using sustainable yarns such cotton, linen, bamboo cotton, lyocell/tencel (from eucalyptus), hemp or indeed recycled plastic bottles.

Originally, I created the reusable eco-beauty collection for my own use because I no longer wanted to use disposable cotton wool pads or buy bottles of body wash. I swapped to using my reusable face pads to cleanse and I changed to using soap and my soap bag for washing in an effort to live more sustainably and planet friendly.

Our collection of baby cardigans and baby blankets are truly beautiful and will last from baby to baby and even afterwards can be passed on because the quality makes them last or they can be treasured as an heirloom. They are lovingly handmade by one of our team members in Wexford.

I spend my time at making these pieces when I am not outside feeding calves, milking cows or walking our fields with the dog.
