Hi, I am Tomomi, a Japanese quilter living in the lovely countryside of Co. Carlow, Ireland where I run Slaney Quilting Studio.

I create original quilts, both functional and art style, in beautiful surroundings. For me, the best thing about quilt making is the ability to express myself by designing the pattern, choosing particular fabrics and adding texture and decoration with quilting.

To share my extended knowledge of quilt making, my studio is open for classes and workshops which include a weekly ‘drop in’ class as well as seasonal short courses.

The studio is open by appointment to whoever needs quilt making supplies.

Commissions are always welcome. I have created memory quilts from loved one’s clothing and originally designed bed quilts as gifts.
