Unique Vintage Matchbox Label Prints

After a lifetime in graphic design and sign making with Pat Byrne Prints and Feddan Signs, this collection of Vintage Matchbox Prints evolved from my life long love of colour and bold graphic design. All my matchbox prints are painstakingly remastered, redrawn with the sometimes mismatched typography produced exactly as it appears on original label to bring you prints that are not only resplendent in vivid vibrant colours, but all come with razor-sharp clean crisp lines that can only be achieved by the process of totally redrawing the images.

The collection includes early to mid 20th Century Indian, Japanese, Swedish and East European Vintage Matchbox Labels. These tiny examples of graphic design have been transformed into collectable and fascinating pieces of retro and vintage wall art. The hobby of collecting match-related items, such as matchcovers and matchbox labels is known as phillumeny, but you don’t have to be a phillumenist phil·lu·men·ist   fi-_lü-m_-nist n to love these wonderful works of art.

I am hoping to introduce a whole new audience to these fantastic tiny graphics, sometimes whimsical designs to appreciate and enjoy the quirkiness, perfect imperfections of the collection and give you the opportunity to own a small piece of art and design history.
