• Aran Knit Tea Cosy

Nothing says Irish more than a cuppa Tea and Aran Knitting.

We have such a history in Aran Knitting, and really in Ireland Tea fixes everything.

I am delighted to bring you my new handmade Aran Knit Tea Cosy, each one a unique piece of Wicklow Craft.

The Tea Cosy will fit nicely on a small or medium teapot, keep your freshly brewed tea warm for when you need a top up.

Simply brew your tea, then slip the cosy on over the handle and spout, and enjoy time with friends, or alone.

Each one is unique and handmade here in beautiful Co. Wicklow, the garden county of Ireland.

I have created this pattern using some of my favourite Aran stitches,

The Moss stitch, said to symbolise abundance and growth.

The Cable stitches said to represent the fisherman's ropes.

The Rib stitches, have plain and purl stitches, the most basic of all knitting stitches.

The tea cosy measures approx. 33cm circumference by 17cm tall.  Due to the handmade nature, sizes may vary slightly.

The teapot I have it displayed on here measures 44cm circumference by 18cm tall. (teapot is not included in the sale)
