This is a view from the front of my parents garden on the Ring of Kerry. Been hill has been in the past the centre of prehistoric activity, including rock art, wedge tombs, standing stones and pre bog field walls. Been hill overlooks the Atlantic Ocean in one direction and all the way past Cahersiveen to Valentia Island in the other. No doubt it was a special place for early farmers on the Iveragh peninsula. With many ringforts and stone forts close by.
