Baltinglass Abbey 60 x 41 x 3 cm Wt 1250g
The Abbey was built by monks in the eleven hundreds when they established the town. They diverted part of the river Liffey to drive their waterwheel when grinding corn. The monks also travelled to south Kilkenny and built Jerpoint Abbey.
